My Alarm Arms But The Doors Wont Lock

This evening i accidently set off the panic alarm when putting the key ring in my pocket.

My alarm arms but the doors wont lock.

Any advice would be appreciated. I turned it off but when i hit the lock button on the key the lights flashed the doors locked but the horn did not toot. Have the vehicle turned off and the doors closed unlock the vehicle or disarm the alarm system by pressing unlock on your remote. Press and release do not press and hold.

My alarm will not arm. But each time i want to arm my car i have to push the door lock button. The alarm is the one that locks and unlocks the doors for me. All the doors lock fine.

In any case this does not mean your alarm isn t armed when the doors don t work it just means the actuator malfunctioned and you just lock them manually. Shut the door and try to lock it. If it is loose or has slipped out of the mortise place it back in the mortise and tighten the screws with a phillips screwdriver. When i push my alarm button to lock it arms but doesnt lock the doors.

I have checked all. Any alarm installer should usually have spare connecting tabs. I get the standard two beeps when unlocking. What could be the sudden problem.

When i press lock on the key fob i get the standard beep then another beep about a second later and the alarm will not arm. I have also tried locking it from the inside door itself. The connecting tab can either be tightened or replaced as needed. This is more than likely linked to the alarm right.

The fix is easy too. Press the unlock and the trunk buttons ii iii at the same time. I have a 1997 nissan sentra with auto locks and an aftermarket alarm and when i press the arm button my alarm arms but doesn t lock my doors the unlock button will unarm my car and unlock the doors if i lock them manually how can i fix this myself.
